Phill Marsh
Youth Pastor
Responsible for youth work and the Pulse
Phill was one of the first young people to attend Firwood Church and was one of the first people to come to faith through the work of Firwood Church. Having attended a Church for most of his life (under duress in later years), he began attending Firwood shortly after it's inception in 1997. In the months that followed, the Gospel that he had heard all his life began to make sense and demanded a decision from him to commit to more than just an abstract idea of God. He became a Christian in early 1998 and soon began to get involved with the work of the Church.
Since then, Phill has served in both the youthwork and the worship team (though, he would like to add, in a non-musical role). Phill was called by the Lord to serve as Youth Pastor in late 2006. Phill lives in Chadderton, Oldham, just a short distance from Firwood Church.
Phill loves music and is often mocked for his tastes by those that don't understand and/or are jealous. He is also the only member of the team of Pastors who is aware of how much greater rugby league is than football as a sport.
Phill regularly preaches at Firwood Church and leads a fortnightly youth Bible Study.
