I recently read ‘Cash’, Johnny Cash’s autobiography. It is good to read an honest testimony of a man who led his life as an open book, for anyone to read. There are no pretences, no excuses for the sin filled life he lead. He took full responsibility for all the problems and hurts he caused others and himself. What I found in this recording of Cash’s life is the lack of mention of the person that was most influential in him coming to Christ, his second wife, June. Here was a lady that was honest with him, showed him her own faults and failing so that he could see that God was not looking for perfect people, but flawed sinners like us all. Right up until his death Johnny Cash kept it real to the glory of God
